Reading the Standards
The first number (or letter for algebra) denotes what grade level the standard is being taken from. The middle letter(s) denote what domain a standard comes from. The last number denotes what specific standard is being referred to.
Example: 7.EE.2
Grade 7 -> Expressions & Equations -> Use properties of operations to generate equivalent expressions (2)
Common Core Standards in mathematics build upon each other. In this course students will continue to develop skills outlined under the CCSS for Algebra 1. The class will re-visit prerequisite standards as necessary for successful completion of the Algebra 1A/1B course series and beyond.
