2) NewsELA Resources - these activities will be sent out weekly to practice reading comprehension and writing skills relative to Humanities content that has been taught so far.
NewsELA is a free resource that educators and students can use to access reading material at a student's grade level, answer reading comprehension questions, and practice written expression skills.

Week of 3/23 - 3/27: The Global Great Depression

Read the article and answer the question, how did the world-wide Global Depression in the 1930s lead to the rise of dictators and totalitarian governments? Write a thesis statement (an argument that includes a "how, what and so what") and then write a 6-8 sentence argumentative paragraph that includes evidence to support your answer.
